Women employee empowerment towards leadership in modern business

Is Leadership gender matter?

The success of any organization is based on finding the extraordinary talent within the organization and developing the future leaders. Leadership capabilities have been identified for effective leaders, albeit largely confused with performance that leads to stereotypes of gender in favor of men. Based on a theory of social role, women are often racially understood and sought to create gender inequalities in leadership positions, while male representatives are seen as more capable leaders, and give priority to men. (THIRD WAY, 2015)

The modern social environment has been changing rapidly, including gender social responsibilities. The contribution of women to society’s smooth transition from preliterate to literate, from caretakers to the competitive business world. (Beatrice, 2021). Nowadays it is a visible equal gender composition in a leadership team in any organization. A few decades back, the sound of women’s human rights and equal education opportunities helped women to come front of the business battle and accept gender quality by most of the government that making the women sustain themselves in the modern business world. As a result of the continuously changing attitudes toward women’s leadership, in 2021 the proportion of women in senior management has increased by 31%.

The proportion of women in senior leadership differs by region:

Challengers of women empower to leadership

Despite the unique challenges that women leaders face, women continue to serve their mission and move forward through obstacles when they reach their full potential. But as the representation of women in high positions in public, administrative and business leadership declines, we all lose it.

There are a few challenges women in leadership face in the workplace as follows.

  1.          Education
  2.          The inability of Work-life balancing
  3.          Being not treated equally
  4.          Advocating on their behalf
  5.          Trusting their own business
  6.          Impostor syndrome

Women continuously encounter Challengers when it comes to advancing in the workplace. At present women challenge the statuesque male dominants. The modern business world has a vacuum of the persons who can influence the business follows to the desired company goals, never matter with gender. The vacuum can be filled by either man or a woman who has preferred leadership qualities. Now it’s a trend that women are leading more than men in the top position of a successful organization. 1. Employee leadership empowerment substantially increases motivation, performance, and commitment to the organization. Leadership empowerment includes self-determination, competence, meaning, and impact. The empowerment approach for women must be performed through a gender empowerment approach. Empowerment signifies the transformation of gender relations from a planned sequence of levels or ranks to equality rather than just fiddling with women’s positions of power.

towards the achievement of a goal” (Forbes.com; Kruse, 2013). While there are many different
variations of this definition, this one is particularly relevant to my graduate project as it is
explaining how the employee perceives being lead that can influence their ability to feel
motivated and committed to their job. Social influence “any change in an individual’s thoughts,

  5. The leadership styles of women are quite different from that of men. Women make it easy to forge work relationships, they get things differently for the ultimate benefit of the organization. It has been found that employees feel more relaxed and included if there is a woman in top management.
